Gov. Brian Kemp says Georgians at Dobbins Air Reserve Base will be sent home as soon as possible. They were passengers on a Grand Princess cruise ship where 21 other people tested positive for coronavirus.

The state now has permission to transfer the Georgians at Dobbins to their homes as soon as possible. We have officials from @GeorgiaEMA@GaDPH, and the @GeorgiaGuard on base to assist with safe transfer. #gapol #COVID19

Kemp declared a public health emergency Saturday morning and gave updated numbers about the coronavirus in Georgia, saying there are now 64 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
